One small, playful step a day — from face-in-the-water at home to floating, gliding, and swimming. Confidence is built in tiny, repeated wins, not big scary leaps.

Week 1 — Get Comfortable (at home & bath time)
Pour a cup of water gently over the shoulders in the bath.
Blow bubbles in a bowl or sink like a "bubbling motor."
Practice a big breath in, hold it, and count to 3 — on dry land.
🌟 Reward day! Talk about what felt brave this week.
Pour water over the top of the head, count to 3, then wipe.
Wet the face with a cloth and wait 2 seconds before wiping eyes.
Blow bubbles with the mouth just touching the bath water.
Week 2 — Get In (shallow water)
Walk in to the waist holding an adult's hands. Splash and smile.
Play at the wall for 5 minutes — just get used to the water.
Blow bubbles at the surface with the chin in the water.
🌟 Reward day! Celebrate getting all the way in.
Dip chin, then mouth, then nose to the water, one at a time.
Hold the wall and do 10 gentle "splashy" kicks.
"Elevator" bobs: dip to the chin and pop back up, 5 times.
Week 3 — Float & Breathe
Put the whole face in and blow bubbles for 3 seconds.
Front float with an adult's hands under the tummy.
Back float with an adult gently supporting the head.
🌟 Reward day! How long can you float? Count together.
Rhythmic breathing: "bubble, bubble, breathe" × 5.
Big "star" float on the back, count to 5 with support.
Float, then reach and grab the wall to finish.
Week 4 — Move & Grow
Kick across a short distance with a kickboard or noodle.
Glide from the wall, arms stretched, for 2 seconds.
Roll from a front float to a back float with a little help.
🌟 Reward day! Jump to a waiting adult in shallow water.
Take 3–5 arm strokes to reach the wall.
Practice "swim, float, swim" — rest on a back float, then go.
Show-off day: do your bravest skill for family.

This challenge builds comfort and early skills, but a confident child is not a "drown-proof" child. Every water day still needs a barrier, a life jacket where appropriate, an adult watching within arm's reach, and no swimming alone. The goal of these 30 days is to open the door to formal swim lessons — the single most protective step you can take.
