Who We Are

WaterWiseKids was founded by a team of certified swim instructors and water safety educators with years of hands-on experience teaching water safety to all ages and abilities. We created this platform to make expert water safety education free and accessible to every family in America.

Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury death for children ages 1 to 4. We built this platform because every family deserves access to practical, reliable water safety information — no matter where they live.

Everything on this site comes from real experience: teaching thousands of families, coaching instructors, and running swim programs day in and day out. No ghost-written content, no sponsored articles, no fluff.

Our Mission

Make practical water safety education free and accessible to every family — and help parents find swim programs they can trust.

We publish in-depth, evidence-based guides on everything from drowning prevention to choosing a swim school to adult learn-to-swim. Our library currently has 35 guides and is growing every week. We also maintain a directory of vetted swim programs so families can find quality instruction near them.

We don't sell products. We don't run ads. We write what we'd want families in our own programs to know.

If you run a quality swim program, WaterWiseKids can help local families find you. We build dedicated partner profiles and feature your school on our directory and in relevant education content. Founding partners join at no cost and get permanent, prominent placement as the platform grows.

Our team is made up of certified swim instructors, so we understand what good programs need: visibility with the right families, and a credible platform that parents trust.

Where We're Headed

We started with a handful of articles and a mission to make water safety knowledge accessible. Today we have 35 in-depth education guides, a nationwide swim school directory covering all 50 states, active partner profiles, and new content publishing every week. We're growing every day as more swim school partners join and we build toward the most comprehensive water safety resource families can rely on year-round.

This is still early — and that's the point. We're building something real, one article and one partner at a time.
